Wednesay was an eating fest. We went to lunch with Colleen who is looking very good and very pregnant! We ate way too much at Sweet Tomatoes. All three of us got very creative with our chocolate sundaes.

After a scrumptious dinner in the Cuthbert kitchen we retired out to the yard to relax. Then it happened...I saw my first firefly! They are clearly underrated. I could not believe how magical those little insects appeared. Cottontails frequent the backyard and look like perfect garden decorations. Hinsdale is a picturesque city and very walker friendly. We walked the hounds each day and admired the beautiful houses and gardens that surrounded us. Newsflash...I think I live in the slums.

On Thursday, Christie, Jean, and I went to a giant accessories show. I could not believe the prices. Christie threw my shopping momentum off when she suggested we stop for something to eat. After our snack I had to reorient myself and begin again, full throttle. I bought myself a few treats and picked up some Christmas presents too. The Cheesecake Factory was our choice for lunch.

Friday was supposed to be our local shopping day but we were pleasantly surprised when Mark was offered 4 tickets and a parking pass to the Cubs game. Christie and I, and Mark and his friend Jeff had a great time at Wrigley field. Apartment houses around the outside perimeter of the field have bleachers on their rooftops and to Christie's dismay, there was no Jumbotron. We did sample all the traditional ball game food.

I'm glad I got to see you while you were here, and I really excited that you've started to blog! I'm also glad that the earthquake wasn't too bad. I didn't realize that you were flying out that day!
