Thursday, August 21st was our first day of school. I have 11 boys and 9 girls. They were all bright-eyed and bushy tailed with new backpacks and lunchboxes in tow. I tied lots of new shoelaces. Thank goodness for velcro and slip-ons! First graders were asking when it was time to go home after one hour of class. They thought each recess was dismissal time and were starving at lunch! We had a very smooth opening but omg were we all pooped!!!!

We went back with kids on Tuesday. It has been in the mid-80's in my room all week. I am utterly exhausted, and I have a really great group this year. I can't imagine how I'd hold up if I had a really tough group. Hope you have fun next week!
